From humble beginnings in 1977, Buttonwood Co. Inc. has grown into a premier Painting Contractor in the Philadelphia area. Started in a barn located on Buttonwood Road in Berwyn, Pa., Founder and CEO Jerry Tiedeken has guided the firm into the large operation that it is today.

The 1980’s and 1990’s saw the company grow. The need for additional warehouse and office space required a move to a larger warehouse in Frazer, Pa. During this period, the company became more diverse, specializing in all types of projects including Historic, Institutional, Retail, Entertainment, Hospitality and Industrial.

In 2003, to accommodate additional Estimators, office personnel, Project Managers and Warehouse space, Buttonwood moved to a larger facility in Jeffersonville, Pa. With the additional employees, the company continued to expand its client base. Those clients include Johnson and Johnson, Comcast, Dow Chemical, Glaxo Smith Kline, Brandywine Realty Trust, Liberty Property Trust, and select General Contractors.

To this day, Buttonwood endeavors to provide excellent service, quality craftsmanship and value pricing to our customers. We also strive to provide a safe workplace for our employees and customers, and to conduct business with integrity and professionalism.

Jennifer Tiedeken
Jennifer TiedekenPresident
Jennifer Tiedeken began at Buttonwood in 1994 with very little knowledge of the painting business. With some phenomenal teachers, including her father and brother, she soon learned the different aspects of estimating and project management. In time she gained her own clients and began to work herself up the ladder. In 2004 she became an officer of the company and continued to gain ground in the industry. Learning more of the managing aspect of the business Jennifer helped to earn the company WBE/DBE status, making many housing jobs in Philadelphia right up Buttonwoods alley. Today she is the sole owner and stockholder and continues to improve and expand the company.
